My name is Candice
Technology has never just been a career path for me — it has been a bridge.
A bridge between ideas and execution. Between communities that were historically left out of tech conversations and the opportunities waiting on the other side. Between innovation and impact.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and later pursued my Master’s degree in Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
My journey into technology wasn’t always straightforward. I know what it feels like to walk into technical spaces and feel behind, unsure, or underrepresented. That experience shaped the kind of leader, mentor, and builder I would eventually become.
Over the last 20 years, my career has evolved across software engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, architecture design, and technical leadership supporting intelligence and Department of Defense missions. I started as a software engineer working hands-on with mission systems and eventually grew into leadership roles where I now serve as a Senior Director at Parsons, leading teams focused on advanced analytics, engineering, cybersecurity, and national security innovation.
But even as my career advanced, I kept coming back to one question:
How do we make technology feel more accessible, understandable, and empowering for more people?
That question is what led me to create Glitch Grind Glow — a platform focused on breaking down barriers in tech knowledge, especially for underrepresented communities, aspiring technologists, entrepreneurs, and professionals trying to find their place in the industry. I wanted honest conversations about leadership, growth, burnout, innovation, and what it really takes to navigate tech spaces that often feel intimidating from the outside looking in.
At the same time, I saw countless small business owners with incredible ideas but limited technical guidance. Too many people were building dream businesses without the tools, systems, or digital strategy needed to scale sustainably. I wanted to change that too.
In 2018, I launched CNSible Solutions to help clients build apps, digital platforms, and technology solutions that could move their businesses forward. What began as app development and consulting has now evolved into something much bigger.
Today, I’m building the next chapter through Gold Halo — a modern consulting and technology firm focused on helping organizations harness innovation strategically and responsibly. Gold Halo blends consulting, app development, AI strategy and development, cybersecurity expertise, and defense-focused technology solutions to help businesses prepare for what’s next instead of reacting to it after the fact.
My vision for Gold Halo is simple:
To help people and organizations build technology with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Whether I’m speaking on stage, mentoring future engineers, advising leaders, architecting technical solutions, or helping founders integrate technology into their business strategy, my mission remains the same — creating pathways into innovation for people who may have once believed those rooms were never built for them.
Because they were. And they belong there.
