Hello world!

If you would’ve told younger me — the computer science student surviving debugging sessions, caffeine addiction, and the occasional academic identity crisis — that one day I’d be leading technical teams, speaking at conferences, hosting podcasts, advising organizations on AI and cybersecurity, and voluntarily starting a blog…

I probably would’ve asked if this timeline came with better sleep.

Spoiler alert: it does not.

But here we are.

So first — welcome. I’m genuinely glad you found your way here.

My name is Candice, and I live at the intersection of technology, leadership, innovation, strategy, and “how did this meeting become 47 slides long?” I’ve spent nearly two decades building systems, leading teams, navigating national security technology programs, mentoring future innovators, and translating deeply technical problems into something humans can actually understand without needing a decoder ring.

Somewhere along the way, I realized something important:

The most impactful people in technology aren’t always the loudest in the room. They’re the ones willing to stay curious, challenge outdated thinking, teach others what they know, and build intentionally.

That belief shaped almost everything I do.

This site isn’t just another polished executive brand page filled with vague words like synergy and digital transformation floating over stock photos of people fake-laughing at laptops.

This is a space for:

  • honest conversations about leadership
  • emerging technology and AI
  • cybersecurity insights
  • career growth
  • innovation
  • mentorship
  • business strategy
  • and the very human side of building ambitious things

Some posts may be deeply technical. Some may be reflective. Some may involve me questioning why every AI product suddenly thinks it’s sentient after adding a chatbot interface.

We’ll laugh. We’ll learn. We’ll occasionally drag corporate buzzwords together.

Fair warning: I believe technology should serve people — not intimidate them. So whether you’re an executive, engineer, founder, student, creative, or someone just trying to survive another “quick sync” that somehow lasts 90 minutes, there’s space for you here.

You can expect conversations around:

  • AI and trustworthy innovation
  • cybersecurity and emerging threats
  • leadership in high-pressure environments
  • navigating tech careers authentically
  • lessons from speaking, mentoring, and building
  • innovation strategy
  • and the realities nobody puts on LinkedIn

Because behind every polished success story is usually:

  • a failed deployment
  • an existential crisis
  • 14 browser tabs
  • and someone whispering “it worked in test.”

I’ve learned that some of the best ideas happen when smart people are willing to be honest — about what’s working, what isn’t, and what the future could look like if we build it intentionally.

That’s what I hope this space becomes.

Not perfection. Not performance.

Just thoughtful conversations, ambitious ideas, and meaningful impact.

So whether you’re here for the technology, the leadership insights, the podcast, the speaking content, or pure curiosity — welcome.

We’re just getting started.
